Chapel of Mary and Joseph
St. Joseph Pignatelli entered the Society of Jesus in 1753. He remained committed to his religious vows and his Jesuit brothers during the over 40-year suppression of the Society, dying three years before its restoration in 1814. He was canonized in 1954, the year of the founding of Wheeling Jesuit University (then Wheeling College).
