| Description: |
Members of the Wheeling community join together to celebrate the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. and inspire others to realize his dream of peace and justice. The march begins at Temple Shalom on Rt. 88, travels along National Road and Washington Avenue, and ends at the Chapel of Mary and Joseph on Wheeling Jesuit University's campus.

Join us for an interfaith service as we reflect on the meaning of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s work and message and pray for peace and justice throughout our society and the world.
Wheeling Park High School students will join us in offering their interpretations of Dr. King's famous "I Have a Dream" speech through oration and dance.

Immediately after breakfast at WVNCC, the Laughlin Memorial Chapel at 129 1/2 18th Street will host programs educating children on the importance of Dr. King and his message. THere will be free transportation provided from WVNCC to Laughlin Chapel. A luncheon follows the activities.

Come celebrate with the winners of the YWCA statewide MLK essay contest as they read aloud their winning submissions regarding bullying in schools. Fifteen of the statewide winners are from the Wheeling area. In addition, students from Wheeling Park High School will be on hand to offer creative interpretations of Dr. King's famous "I Have A Dream" speech.
