We ask that you please pass this information on to parents, organizations, or schools that may have students interested in participating. All students that plan to audition will need to have a parent or legal guardian email me the following information prior to the audition. No student will be permitted to audition unless we have received this information.
Due to the small stage size and limited backstage areas of our facility, we regret that we will need to limit the cast size and may not be able to use everyone that auditions.
Students 8-12 will be considered for roles as the orphans that appear and sing in “Food Glorious Food” or for the role of Oliver. Students 12-16 will be considered for the roles of Dodger, Fagin’s Gang and as additional chorus members.
Students should come prepared to sing one verse of “Silent Night” and to sing scales to determine vocal ranges. They will also be asked to read a short scene from the play and do some simple dance movements that will be presented at the audition. No prepared dances or acting scenes please.
Most rehearsals will be held on Fridays 6-8 and Sundays 1- 4 at WJU’s Troy Theater. All cast members will be required to attend all evening rehearsals during production week starting April 15- thru the production dates of April 19-21 at 7:30pm and April 22 at 2pm. The roles of Dodger and Oliver will require additional rehearsal times.
